How to Have Worthwhile Mom Vacation
No more spontaneous trips with the squad; hello diapers, bottles and play time with kids. Being a mom is both a pleasure and a responsibility, and spending time with kids is your top priority. However, this chapter of your life doesn’t mean vacations and fun time should end.
We know it’s hard to leave your little ones and sometimes just thinking about the things you need to organize for them makes you want to just ditch the idea altogether, but honestly, it’s worth it. Take your girl friends or your hubby with you on this break you truly deserve. Here’s how to make that vacation doable for busy moms like you.

Skip the fancy location
The point of the vacation is to take a day or a weekend away from home, where you can sleep without being bothered by a visitor crawling at the middle of the night or crying from the other room. You just need a quiet place where you can sleep as much as you want unbothered and wake up whatever time you want.

Pick a convenient place
Choose a hotel or any destination where restaurants, malls and shops are just a few steps away. Do not spend your limited time driving to get to places. Again, the purpose of your trip is to relax and enjoy every bit of second you have for yourself. Go out for a nice dinner, satisfy your cravings for sushi, steak and some wine. Try a new dish and enjoy your meal while it’s hot without distraction.

Make it a beach getaway
The sun, sand and sea can do wonders for inner calmness. If you’re going with a group, you can rent a house and actually save money on accommodation, meals, etc. Go swimming or just enjoy a good read by the shore.

Have a spa day instead
Get your girl friends together and go on a spa party for a day. You can find spas everywhere, so if going for an overnight trip seems impossible, a day trip to a local spa can feel like a quick vacation. Get a massage, have your nails done and enjoy sipping on cucumber water while getting pampered.

Go for a wine tour
Wine tours, whether with hubby or the gals, are always fun. If you have a bit more money to spend, rent fancy party bus and play dress up. You’d get to experience new tastes and witness beautiful scenery. Food will be prepared and served for you, sights are peaceful and you will surely have a fun day to remember.
Vacation plays an important role in keeping our mental and physical health in its tiptop shape. Just because you already have kids does not mean taking a break should stop. Take advantage of group retreats and vacation destinations for moms. And if leaving home isn’t really an option, at least get a nanny even just for a day to take care of the kids while you relax.
